I’m so excited! Yesterday, while I was working at Borders, my new office was built. It’s a built-in wrap-around desk of cherry that looks out onto our backyard. I’m writing this from my office desk for the first time. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited about a new feature in my house! LOL. Here is a picture–kind of hard to see because of the sun shining in–clearly I need to buy some blinds. I’ll post another picture when I have it all set up!
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY, everyone! I hope yours has been as good as mine (no better gift than to be able to write about people falling in love from a shiny new desk, lol!).

That’s so exciting to have a new desk! And, an office space. I still dream of my future office when I have a house that is big enough for my own writing room. It will have a plush, comfy sofa, a writing desk, tons of books, windows (with a nice view, I hope) and the walls will have murals. Sigh. 🙂

It’s gorgeous – I’d love to have a room like that with that huge desk! You’re a lucky woman! My challenge would be to write with that lovely view beckoning. 🙂

Oh how nice it would be. I also love the sun shining through the windows! We haven’t had much sunshine lately we have snow clouds today with snow on the way! I am so ready for spring.

Thanks, everyone. I’m still really excited about it. Still haven’t really gotten to work in it–the doors were put up today. Maybe tomorrow! It really is my dream office. 🙂

The desk looks great! Is this the house that MIGHT be entirely in a floodplain?I don’t remember ever reading about what you ended up doing – buying it or choosing a different house.
