Title: Box 28, Eyes Wide Open
Genre: Suspense-thriller
First five sentences:
Plaques, paper weights and engraved clocks, lined the narrow teak shelf in Dalton’s faculty office. It was March, the first day of spring, when Professor Dalton Linebach and Dr. Roger Wetzel each received e-mail announcements from the Chancellor. Both had been selected for the university’s most prestigious award, the Medal of Honor. Dalton would be recognized for seventeen years of extraordinary research contributions in chemistry, and his colleague, Roger, for two decades of groundbreaking patient care services. The news sat nicely with Dalton’s satisfied grin.
